Did anyone get knocked out before getting their wisdom teeth pulled!? or did you stay awake!? If you stay awake does it hurt at all!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Of course you need anesthesia to not feel it, but you don't need to be put under!. It all depends on your X-ray, your tolerance, and your doctor because its different for everyone!. If you're awake then you shouln't feel any pain during the procedure, but expect to feel pressure!.

I only had one of my wisdom teeth pulled and I was completely awake for the whole thing - I was numbed up at the site and felt nothing!. I didn't even really have much pain afterwards either!. My friend, however, had all four pulled at the same time and has knocked out for it!. She didn't handle it well and had lots of pain!. It is really something you need to talk to the dentist about what is right for you depending of what all they will need to do!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It depends on how badly impacted they are!. I had my wisdom teeth extracted years ago and was not under anasthesia!. That was because they were fully erupted and could be pulled out normally!. Now, it they are impacted and can't erupt, then you have to be put under anasthesia because it is a major procedure that involves cutting your gums open and removing the teeth!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I got knocked out!.!.!.completely with good stuff that even blocked my memory of the event!. I'm a baby when it comes to teeth stuff!.
I know several people who have been less of a wimp than I and had their wisdom teeth pulled while wide awake!.
People with certain medical conditions (i!.e!. diabetics) should not go under anesthesia if it can be helped anyway!. It's also very costly (if you don't have insurance)!.
There are other options like local anesthesia (numbs the pain in that area), twilight is when you just don't care!.!.!.you are awake but don't care what is happening to you and then general - when you are put out completely!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

either way you go fterwards it's going to hurt like a *****!. but neither will cause you pain!. I have to get mine taken out this month as well and have talked to my dentist!.
when you stay awake they give you laughing gas and novacaine!. so you are so drugged up you dont feel a thing!.
im not really for anesthesia because i have heard of people waking up in the middle and feeling them working!. but its your decision!. either way your not going to feel a thing until after you wake up!. then it will really be sore!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It shouldnt physically hurt due to the shots they give!. It could mentally hurt you though because you can still see/ hear everything!. I would hate that!.!.it would freak me out!.I am getting mine out next month and am scared to death!. I am having the oral conscious sedation and hope to God that I am so loopy that I wont remember a thing!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
It doesn't hurt if you opt for the novocaine!.!. since you're loaded down with a ton of it!. I think I had at least 6 shots of it!.
