Abcess help.....?!
Question: Abcess help!.!.!.!.!.!?
I have an appt Tues with an endodontist to determine what course of action needs to be taken with my tooth!. One is dead possibly two and I've developed an abscess!. I was put on antibiotics Thur night!. I do feel any better yet!. In fact, it is starting to hurt and be really uncomfortable and throb!. I can't even sleep b/c the pain is waking me up, its 4:30am and I've been up for an hour!. I've tried taking advil but its not even working!. I just took an Aleve but I doubt that will do anything, plus you can only take one every 8 hours! It is getting pretty unbearable!. And b/c it is my front teeth, I can't really eat either!. I don't know if I can wait till Tues!. Shouldn't the antibiotic help by now or give it another day!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try gargling with warm salt water to break the abscess!.The antibiotics are for the infection and take a few days to start working!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
The antibiotic will only kill some of the infection!. It won't relieve pain!. See if they can change your appointment for Monday!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
