Dental implants: will i be given a temporary tooth while waiting for my permanen!

Question: Dental implants: will i be given a temporary tooth while waiting for my permanent cap!?
im afraid that if i undergo dental implant i will be toothless for a while!. i don't want to look funny and toothless!. i hope there's no "toothless time" between the healing process and the actual placement of the permanent caps!. is there!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

My girlfriend is going through the same thing!.

They'll give you a retainer with the temporary teeth built into it which you can put in and remove while eating or brushing your teeth!.

The only time you may not be able to wear it is if they have to do a procedure to build up your gums to put the permanent caps into!. They had to do that to her and they built them up to a point where she wasn't able to wear it for a few days because of the pain!. After it heals though, maybe after about a week, you can fit the retainer back in!. So there is some toothless time there, but not enough to worry about!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

They will give you a temporary denture they cost around $300 and they will look completely natural!. After the screw is placed into the bone there will be a healing time before the tooth can be placed over it so you will have to have dentures of some sort!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
