Weird cracking jaw?!
Question: Weird cracking jaw!?
For a couple of years or so I keep having a clicking/cracking jaw!.!.!.like when i open it wide or sometimes when I am chewing it makes loud cracking noises (like when people crack their knuckles)!. It doesn't hurt or anything but sometimes it gets like stuck and I can't open it very wide untill i crack it!.
I have looked on the internet about it and it might be caused by "grinding teeth" in my sleep whatever that means!

It seems like you have lock jaw or tmj, talk to your dentist about getting a night guard to prevent the damage of grinding your teeth!. Also, when your jaw is locked closed (when you cant ope very far) try putting a warm compress on the side of your face at the joint where your jaw my jopens, this should make it easier to open by helping your jaw slide back into place!.
Also, braces may not necessarily be the answer, I had braces and recently got them off and my jaw still locks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
