You should be rinsing with really warm salt water to remove debris and cleanse the areas even while they are sutured!. I would also recommend that you start some exercises to help you regain the full function of your jaw and ease the soreness!. It's simple, two hot damp towels on both sides of your face and begin opening and closing, stretching wider each time!. This will help to relax the muscles and get the blood flowing in the tissue to promote healing!.

By today you should be able to start adding more normal foods back into your diet!. No, I wouldn't advise pizza or steak either, not just yet! But you can eat more substantial foods such as chicken, fish, seafood, meatloaf, pot roast, pasta, spaghetti, lasagna (cheese or veg) and most vegetables and some softer fruits (grapes and orange sections, thinly sliced apples or bananas and plumbs), salads (pasta or tuna) and soft breads!.

Just take it slow with small bites and chew slowly!. Avoid any sharp (tortilla chips), grainy (hamburger) or seeded (poppy or sesame seeded breads)foods just yet; these tend to cut, stab or become lodged in the open areas causing difficulty to remove or infections to develop, even with sutures in place!.

Additional information: The removal of wisdom teeth are much different than that of other teeth extracted due to their size, location and especially when they are impacted!. Take your time with eating, small bites and slowly is always best!. Try the exercise with the hot towels, or stand in a hot shower letting the water run over your face and jaws!. You will feel a difference immediately in your muscles, which is what is causing most of the pain you are feeling right now!. You are through the worst of it now but it will take several weeks for you to feel back to normal again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i'd say about 24-48 hours!. Just make sure that you that you rinse vigorously with salt water after words!. I got all 4 wisdome teeth extracted in the same day!. I was able to eat normally the next day!. It all has do with your pain threshold!. Just make sure you don't eat any thing that could puncture the gum!. I'd say that pizza and steak are fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can eat once you feel able!.!.
I would start with pasta and softer food that don't have sharp pieces like toast for example!.
Did you get a syringe to clean out the sockets!? if so, don't forget to do that with salt water in order to get food out of the sockets as it healsWww@Answer-Health@Com

people keep saying wait all these hours!.!.I waited until about an hour after the bleeding stopped and I ate soft stuff like oatmeal once!.!.!.or Like I had a smoothie!.!.that was good!. But u aren't suppose to use a straw!.!.and it is kinda hard to open ur mouth!. Well my the areas where my teeth were turned out just fine!. I've gotten 4 teeth out for removal of braces!. I went into semi solid foods the next day such as pb and jelly which is no too hard!. And cereal that gets kinda soggy!. Bean burritos!.!.etc!. After 3 days its all about comfort !.!.just try various things and if it hurts don't eat it!.!.!.just try to chew far away from ur holes!. Make sure you break ur food up into small pieces or else its going to be really hard to chew with ur jaws hurting and it increases the chances of u having to use teeth near the holes and rinse with mouthwash or salt water when you are done!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

when the stitches are gone and all the swelling is down!.!.!.may take up to 2 weeks
I had all 4 of mine pulled at the same time, but didn't have stitches, and I couldn't eat normal food for 2 weeks!. I also had to rinse my mouth after every meal to make sure no food had gotten trapped in the holes!.
Try things like are easily smashed between your tongue & the top of your mouth!. I got sick of eating jello, pudding, & mash so I started eating alot of fish, corn, peas, cooked carrots, and very soft french fries!.!.!.even if I didn't like the food!. I also nibbled on things so I was basically chewing with my front teeth!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
