Answers:
I'm assuming you mean what kinds of medications could you use!. I also have TMJ disorder and I find that a combination of painkillers and exercises really helps!

First try your conventional analgesic pain killers such as paracetamol (or acetominophen if you're in the US), or see if you can't get your doctor to describe some opioid painkillers, which are more effective but may have some side effects!.

Also try some stretching exercises, like the ones described here http://www!.atlantadentist!.com/TMJ_exerci!.!.!.
Try slowly opening your mouth and then slowly closing it!. I find using something warm against the jaw, like a hot water bottle or a towel, can make the stretching less painful!.

Best of luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It seemed to irritate the joints or tighten the muscles or something!. Anyway, the dentist made a bite plate for her to put in her mouth at night to protect her teeth!. Seeing this question made me realize she hasn't had the TMJD problem since!. Just throwing it out there in case I can help a friend!.

Hope it starts feeling better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
