Wait what...?!

Question: Wait what!.!.!.!?
Okay well today, I went to my Ortho to get my braces tightened and replace the bracket I previously broke off and haven't gone back to fix it until today!.

Well anyways, as one of the technicians were finishing up on my braces, another bracket on my canine broke off and the technician was like, "oh my!.!."

I'm like what!? Seeing some of my blood on her latex gloves as well!. She asked me when was the last time I seen a dentist and I told her a long time ago, and she tells me that my gums are swollen and that I should see an oral surgeon!? I was like wtf!? But before I could ask what she meant, one of the front desk clerks told me that I should really go see my dentist and get my teeth cleaned because my hygene or w!.e is in worse state then before!.

Is this a misunderstanding!? Because, aren't my gums suppose to be swollen anyways because of the constant pressure!?!. Also, my gums bleed easily because I don't really floss, and I don't have dirty teeth, so I don't see whats the problem!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
aye love!.

this is no misunderstanding!.
u really should get ur teeth PROFESSIONALLY cleaned every 6 months [[and some ppl every 3 months]] , ESPECIALLY if you braces!.

braces shouldnt neccesarily cause you to have swollen gums , [[maybe in the begining weeks of bracess , but thats really it]]

you may have had minor/slight gingivits , and left untreated it probably grew worse and worse!.

do you brush too hard!? that could be another reason!.

absolutly MAKE SURE you dont brush too hard with a brush with rough bristles!.

definatly check with a dentist and set up an appointment to get a cleaning!!!

you dont want the gums to lead you to having heart problems!! >!.<

The reason your gums bleed is because they are infected!. This is usually from lack of flossing and not brushing well!. It is extra important for a person in braces to keep on top of brushing after every meal and flossing at least once a day!. I am an orthodontic assistant and many of our patients that have a hard time keeping their mouths healthy have them cleaned every three months!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yikes!.!.!. dude, if i were you, i would just go see that dentist!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
