Brushing my tongue causes it to bleed?!


Question: Brushing my tongue causes it to bleed!?
Whenever i brush my teeth i always brush my tongue!. the past few weeks it has started bleeding, i can't see where the blood comes from but can only assume it is from the back of my tongue!. What could be causing this!?!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

You could just be brushing too hard as of lately!. But if bleeding persists even from not brushing it, I would suggest going to the dentist to get it looked at!.

I would suggest getting a water jet system by WaterPik- it has a plastic tongue scraper tool (many other tools as well) that allows you to gently clean your tongue and also have water coming out of it to wash away the gunk cleaned out of your tongue!. I think it's less harsh than trying to scrape your tongue with tiny hard bristles!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

When brushing your tongue use a different toothbrush !. one with very soft bristels not hard like for the teeth the tongue is a lot more sensitive that's why it's bleeding xxxWww@Answer-Health@Com
