I'm having two wisdom teeth out at my local dental surgery and am nervous about the whole thing!. Has anyone here had there's out what was it like!? If it was bad please don't post!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm in the same boat as you,I have to get all 5!.!.!. yes,5 of mine out!. I worried just like you!.!.but now,I realize that it is silly to worry so much over something like this!.!.!. they will put you to sleep if you want them to,and you will sleep through the whole process!. When you wake up they will give the person with you the prescription for your pain medication so you won't hurt after the numbing has gone away!.
My sister got hers(cut out) and she was back on her feet within a few days!.

It's nothing to worry about!. Mine were out within 5 - 10 minutes (including numbing)!. I didn't need any "laughing gas" or anything like that; and after the novocaine I didn't hear or feel anything, really!. :) While I did experience dry socket for a few days afterward, even that wasn't painful and didn't bother me much!. I don't smoke -- never have, really; but even if you do, the standard advisory is to abstain for 24 hrs!. (the same goes for sucking drinks through a straw, for similar reasons)!. I came home with gauze packs and pain meds, "crashed" into bed (this was like mid-afternoon) and didn't wake up for about 6 hrs!. (I was a bit upset with my husband for not coming home sooner from work to wake me up and check on me, though!) :P
The next day I was basically fine and by the next evening could eat most normal foods like a hamburger, salad and macaroni, although as they say your mileage may vary!. The first day or so you might want to stick to liquids and soft foods -- milkshakes, jello, applesauce, etc!. You should do fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well it's going to hurt to be honest!. i had heavy dentist work done and one of the first things i did was get my wisdom teeth out!. I was awake, but they numbed my mouth!. They gave me shots in my gums that didn't really hurt, but the sound of them taking them out will get to you!. They give you awesome painkillers after and if you take them as soon as you get them, you'll be all right!. I thought I was okay after i got them out and i went to wendy's and ate and everything and about 15 minutes later, it felt like someone punched me in the brain so just take your pain meds and you should be fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
if you are asking for experiences that were not bad, you probably wont get a lot of answers!. at first i had 1 pulled, and then a year or two later i had the other three pulled at once!. i was awake and numbed for the first procedure and knocked out on happy gas for the second time!. i preferred the happy gas!. you do not wish to hear bad, so i'll spare you the awake experience!. dont worry, either did not hurt immediately after!. make sure you get your painkillers FAST!!! stay away from food that you have to chew!. a lot of soups are good!. no straws!!! that hurts a lot!. a positive attitude helped me heal quicker!. that is important!. i hope it goes well for you!. for a week it will suck, but it'll get better!. dont worry!. everyone has to go through this!. i had my nieces around and they helped me keep a positive attitude!. if that dont work, try to sleep through most of it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I'm sure you received all kinds of do's & don'ts from your dental surgeon!. Just follow those directions!. Everyone is different for pain tollerance and the healing process!. But I do recommend taking a pain pill as soon as you return home and you should be fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
heyy a few weeks ago i got 2 teeth out
they first give you this numbing stuff that they rub on ur gums,
about 5 mins later they give u two ingections around each tooth that need to be pulled- so u will have 4 ingections
then after ur completley numb, they get this clamp thingo and push reeeeeeaaaallllyyy hard on the tooth and then they pull, they do this a few times befor the tooth comes out!.
you will probs hear the ripping on the tooth coming out which is feral but u dont feel any pain what so ever
after theyve taken the teeth out, they give u a gauze to bight on untill the bleeding stops (it takes it a few hours to stop bleeding)
and when the numbing wares off, you still dont feel much pain, but i suggest u take a panadol or two just b4 u leave for the dentists coz its really hard swallowing them when uve got the gauzes in your mouth
uum starting the next day u have to have to rinse out your mouth with warm salty water washes to prevent infections and dry sockets (apparrently they are the worst pain u can ever feel if u get a dry socket)
and no smoking coz u will defs get a dry socket!.
umm im pretty sure ive covered it all lol

I had mine done in the military!.
Do not smoke or use tobacco if you do for about a month until you fully heal!.
Just listen to the doctor and everything will be smooth!.
You do not feel anything they numb you up pretty good and you get medication for later to maintain it!.

They'll be putting an anesthesia to it so there is no pain!.

i was completely anestitized(sp) and the experience was great!. a little bleeding after and the pain was managable!. good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
2 out in one day is better than 2 taken out in 2 days!. It hurts the same!. Just remember you only hurt 1 day lesser!. I got 3 removed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Make sure you discuss and have pain relief organised!. Cold packs can help!.
You need it done is it great no but its over fairly quickly!.

I had all four out on the same day and had no swelling or pain BUT you need to be prepared for some pain and swelling, just incase as everyone is different x hope it goes ok for you xWww@Answer-Health@Com
