MMkayy, well here's the deal!. I've never been to the dentist before!.!.!. but please keep any nasty remarks to my oral hygiene to yourself, because at least I'm finally doing something about it! Anywho, you see, my parents never took me and I'm just beginning to realize that you don't go to a dentist just for when your teeth are hurting as I originally thought!. Soooo, I asked my mom to take me to the dentist so earlier this week she called a dentist near where I lived and booked an appointment!.!.!.

My appointment is tomorrow & I'm quite nervous, as I have no idea what to expect!. What will they do!? Will it involve any pain!? && will the dentist say anything mean about me never being to the dentist before in my life :(!.!.!.!?!Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, not at all! The worst part to me is when they scrape the plaque off with this hook thingy but that doesn't even hurt, it's just a little uncomfortable!. Then they put this paste stuff on your teeth, brush your teeth, then wash it off with this water gun thingy!. During this process they use a suction thingy that sucks all the excess saliva in you mouth and at the end of the brushing they will tell you to put your whole mouth around it to suck out all the debris!. (I love that part!) Lastly I think they floss and then they put this foamy crap in your mouth that taste kinda funny but its okay!. You leave the office with wonderfully clean teeth and a free toothbrush and floss!.

ps!. Almost forgot- they are probably going to take ex rays of you mouth which is painless to make sure everything is okay with your teeth annd stuff!.

Since it's your first time don't worry you'll be fine!. First they will bring you in and take some x-rays meanwhile they wait for your x-rays the assistant will brush your teeth!. Then when the x-rays come out the Dr!. will come in and see you he will tell you what you need to have done in your mouth if anything you decide wether you want to have that done that same day don't worry its all up To you and your mom they can't do anything without your consent!. I have to admit, Im a little shocked that its your first time, but no theyll be nice!. For your first visit, theyre just gonna clean them!. They use a sharp utensil to pick at your teeth, but I promise, they dont hurt you!. Now theyll probably do xrays and tell you if you have a cavity or something!. But for the first visit, they wont hurt you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
no it will usually ot cause any pain!. First the assistant will brush your teeth (no big deal) then the dentist will come in and take this hook thingy and clean your teeth and no it does not hurt it is normal!also you can

There's no need for you to get nervous!.!.it doesn't pain at all!. Besides, dentist is a good person!. He won't say anything mean to you!.!.be brave!.!.you're not a child anymore so don't worry,trust me!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It hurts a little bit, but after going a couple of times, you get used to it, so it might hurt a little!. You also may have to get some teeth pulled, because most people do, and if no one has ever examined them, you might need them!. Expect a lot x-rays, but those aren't the painful part!. Do you brush at home!? If you do, it should be nearly painless, but if you don't brush at all at home, there will probably be some tears because your gums will not be strong and you will probably have cavities in every tooth and that could be horrible! I hate going to the dentist, even though I know it's just cleaning!. On the first visit, they'll introduce themselves and get to know you!. Like everyone else said, the hygienist will brush your teeth and scrape off the plaque with a tool that looks like a shepherd's cane!. Then they will probably take some x-rays (I hate this part, because they put something in my mouth that made me gag, but since I have braces now, they can't x-ray me)!. Um!.!. you're 14, so since you're still a kid (somewhat of a kid), they'll give you dome flouride!. It's like something that cleans your teeth, I think!. They put it in a mold type thing and put it on your teeth for 1 minute!. Don't worry, they let you pick a flavor! And also, relax!. Just a few days ago, I got my tooth pulled out!. I am 13!. Personally I love going to the dentist!. Usally they are nice, but some times they can be mean!. When I was five a dentist made me cry because I was getting caps and he started yelling at me!. If you are getting your teeth cleaned, sometimes your teeth can be sensitve to the water and equiptment!. It donesn't bother me though!. You will do fine!.
