Will filing my teeth affect my diction?!

Question: Will filing my teeth affect my diction!?
This may be the dumbest question in this community but here it goes!. I get my braces off in a week and my orthodontist wants to file the ridges of my teeth!. I quite dont mind them!. What Im wondering is, since teeth are part of the articulatory system, will filing them down have an effect on my diction, or singing!? Any help is appreciated!! or how can i tell my orthodontist to leave the ridges alone even if it means my teeth dont look flawless!?!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Honistly, I wouldnt have the ridges filed off!. Its auctually a good thing to have ridges, because it shows how good your teeth are in a way!. The ridges mean that theres not a lot of wearing on those teeth!. But if you do decide to get that done, it wont affectyour diction at all!. Good luck! = )Www@Answer-Health@Com

There's always a chance your speech would be affected (though if you've already had braces you'll know how quickly your mouth and tongue can adapt to changes)!. If you're concerned just now and don't see a reason to file the ridges, explain to your dentist that you're happy how your teeth are!. I'm sure they won't put up any fuss - the main thing is that you, not your orthodonist, are happy with the results of your treatment!. If you change your mind, you can always have it done later!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

As far as I'm aware a dentist can't do anything unless you agree to it, so just tell him you don't want the filing!. It should be as simple as that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

just tell him you like your teeth and you don't want them filed he can only do what you let himWww@Answer-Health@Com
