Question: Toothache Help!!!!!!!!!!?
My dentist called me in some penicillin for a toothache and told me to take Advil!. I have a cavity in the tooth, but will they be able to just fill it or will they have to pull the tooth!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

There's no way that anyone other than your dentist can tell you that!. He/she will have to take an x-ray which should tell how deep the decay goes!. Sometimes, even an x-ray can't tell them exactly!.!.!.!.it's not until they get into actually "drilling and filling" that they can see how deep the decay is!.
The bad thing is that it takes a couple of days for an antibiotic to get into your system enough to begin helping with the infection (unless it's an IV antibiotic)!.
A lot of people will tell you to hold an aspirin on the tooth to help with the pain!.!.!.!.!.!.DON'T DO IT! This only eats away at the gum and will further irritate the tooth!.

If your experiencing pain, to the point in which you've been put on antibiotics, unfortunately the tooth is beyond the point in which placing a filling can fix it!. Most probably the pain is a result of the cavity becoming so large that it has accessed the nerve, causing that constant throbbing/achiness you've been experiencing!. As far as your options go, extracting the tooth is an option, definitely not the best one, but an option!. The other is most probably going to be a root canal, in which you will eventually need to crown the tooth!. The root canal route is definitely the more costly, but you'll be saving the tooth, which is always the best choice!. Once you address the issue of that tooth, I recommend having a complete exam done by your dentist, to make sure no other cavaties!. it depends how long you let the tooth go, I had one that I let go until i just couldn't stand the pain anymore, I took everything I could get my hands on and couldn't even sleep it was so bad, they had to pull that one, he said I let it get down to the bone and it couldn't be fixedWww@Answer-Health@Com
put a shot of whiskey in your mouth and push it inthe toothache areaby blowing with ur mouth shut the pressure will force th whiskey down the cavity area and to the nerve endings push with pressure as long as possible!.!.!.!.spit the whiskey out!. it will make u sick if u swollow it it ll have pules and bad bactria and such innnnnnnngurantee to work, if done properly if infected, u ll eventually feel a little pop and boy what a relief!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
He will 1 of 3 things fill it crown it or extract it if its a perm tooth they prob will try to save it by doing a root canal and then crowning it!. thats about it !! the penicillin it to help with the infectionWww@Answer-Health@Com
