Question: What age do kids loose their milk teeth!?
My son had an accident recently and it looks as though he is going to loose his top 2 front teeth!. He is 4 and a half!.

Which teeth go first normally, and if he has lost these first, does this mean the adult teeth will come through a bit earlier!?

Im really woried about speech development cos he may loose them so early, he is very well spoken at the moment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Usually lower 1st molar is shed early as compared to any other milk teeth!. Yes, if kids loose their front teeth, they might not only develop speech problems, but also malalignment in permanent dentition!. There are cases where this situation is uneventful and the permanent teeth takes their place early but it depends on what stages of tooth development it is in!.
So at this point of time you should take your kid to a dentist!. Its better to fabricate a prosthesis in that place until the permanent dentition takes its place!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should go see a dentist as he may have an infection developing from the trauma to those teeth!. He may need them taken out soon (you don't want an infection to affect the development of the adult teeth below), but the only way to tell that usually is with an x-ray!.

Regarding your question, it is at age 6, usually plus or minus 2 years!. Kids lose these teeth early all the time due to trauma!. It will not have long-term effects on his development!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

He should naturally lose his top 2 front teeth at the age of 6-7!. If he is well spoken, he may have some difficulty pronunciation words with the T-sound, otherwise, you will still be able to understand him!. Alot of time losing a teeth early will cause a delay in eruption of his adult tooth!. Sometimes trauma/accidents from his baby teeth can damage his adult teeth in the bone!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Children can lose their milk teeth at any time between 4 - 18 (my grandfather still had milk teeth then) It depends on the length of the roots and diet (doesn't everything!)

His speech really shouldn't suffer becaue of this, he will be fine!.!.!.!. Don't forget to hire the tooth fairy :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

My son lost those teeth early too, not to trauma but because they were pulled by the dentist, He just went around gap-toothed for awhile!. He lost them at age 5 and the permanent ones grew in on schedule, when he was 7!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

most kids loose their front teeth around the ages of six to eight usually when the new teeth are right behind them as for his new teeth i think they may not come in early just because the others got knocked outWww@Answer-Health@Com
