Under upper lips hurts?!

Question: Under upper lips hurts!?
A couple days ago I was brushing my teeth and the brush slipped and hit the skin that is underneath the upper lip!. The day after that it started to hurt where if I press above my upper lip it hurts and it hurts to smile!. It looks red, but I don't know it that's normal cuz I never look under my upper lip!. My gums are fine and there is no bleeding or pus!. It is just that flap of skin that connects the gums and lips together that hurts!.
I can't figure out what is causing this pain!!! Please help!Www@Answer-Health@Com
