Just got braces today and hurts like crazy!?!

I had braces for 2 and 1/2 yrs!. They hurt like heck!. Take moltrin or aspirin!. The reason they hurt is because the braces are tightening your teeth!. The pain will go away in a week or so!. Everytime you go to the ortho for tightening make sure you take medicine before!. They will probably hurt eveytime, but think about the good coming out of it!. Your teeth will be beautiful and straight when you get them off!Www@Answer-Health@Com

well as a nurse I can tell you it will hurt for a few days you can take motrin or aleve to help with the pain!. If you feel they are cutting your mouth inside you can get braces wax or use abesol or orajel!. It will go away but you will go through it once a month when they tighten them but eventually hurts less and less!. good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

I know how you feel!. When I got my braces it hurt for about 2 weeks!. I drank hot cocoa and ate jello and pudding!. Try taking some aspirin also!. Eventually you and your mouth will get used to having braces!. One more tip: When you first get your braces, your mouth feels full of metal!. DON'T CHEW GUM!. I guarantee it will get stuck and your orthodontist won't be happy at all!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

ohh yahhl!.!.i have braces too!.!.man my 1st week hurt so bad!.!.i could even eat soft things!.!.and everything got stuck in there!.!.and i felt horrible!.!.believe me!.!.give it exactly 1 week!! after that, u wont even feel them there!.!.juz eat soft things!.!.its okayy!.!.every1 goes thru it with braces!.!.i've had them for like 1 yr now and i dont even feel em ever!.!.and after a while u will get experience and ur food wont get stuck in em either!.!.!.believe me!.!.its only a problem for like a week!.!.and sometimes when ur rthadotist tighten them!.!.then it hurts too for about 2 days!.!.u'll b okay buddyy =]]Www@Answer-Health@Com

new braces always kill but it will totally go away in about a week!. They won't hurt at all after that except when you go get them tightened every now and then and they will hurt again but never as bad as when you first get them on!. Don't worry ---it won't be so bad and when they come off your teeth will look great!Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes, i have experienced it!. the day you get braces, it will be very sore, you won't be able to eat or even brush your teeth!. in a few days or a week it will be a lot better!. don't worry, it happens to everyone!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your teeth are not use to the tightening of braces!.I have braces on right now and I couldn't eat regular food until a month!.Luckily I am getting my braces off in about a month and 1/2Www@Answer-Health@Com

My son was given something to bite down on!. It will hurt but, it keeps the blood circulating in the gums!.
Also, take tylenol!.
