Bone loss and nerve pain?!

Question: Bone loss and nerve pain!?
I have extensive bone loss and gum recession on my molars due to a malocclusion that is currently being treated!. My gums in that area, especially just above my teeth hurt all the time!. It's not that bad, but it really feels like It may be a nerve pain!. My gums aren't swollen or anything!. I have significant regession and bone loss due to trama associated with hyperocclusion!. Once, one side of my face actually felt numb after I ate a steak!. Can severe recession damage nerves in my face!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would imagine this could happen!. I am so sorry you are in such pain!. Do you have insurance!? I know surgery will more than likely be an option for you!. My husband has had three surgeries in the past 6 months (he was awake for all but has high pain tolerance!. I would have shot myself first) for gum recession!.
They took skin from the top of his palate (roof of mouth) and grafted it where his gum was receding!. If you have bone loss there is a procedure where they will take bone from a cadaver and graft it where yours would have been!. This sounds scary and gross, but the end result is no more pain and a much healthier bone line!. Skin could also be grafted for this procedure but more than likely the skin comes from you!.
I would seek dental help immediately and good luck with that! Hope your pain goes away soon!Www@Answer-Health@Com
