Question: My jaw cracks every once in a while!. But tonight it was cracking constantly at dinner is this bad!?

It's probably TMJ!.!. Google it for all the details, most of the time it is not a bad bad thing, i have it and it bother's me at times, like the cracking, or stiffness!. But i had a friend that had it really bad and she had to go in and get her jaw broken and re-allinged!. so check it out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I have the same problem with my jaw - it usually happens when I eat something chewy that will tire my jaw out quickly!. My jaw also has a HUGE tendancy to lock (it was locked for just over 2 years at one point - I couldn't open one side of my mouth for a very long time!!.!.!.this usually has to do with the disks) and my orthodontist pointed out to me that my jaw does not close properly and does not sit properly either (which may or may not be linked to my overbite - either way he noticed that my jaw is off to one side and does not properly align with the rest of my face!.!.!.although hardly noticeable until he pointed it out!)Www@Answer-Health@Com
Mine does that too and I have brought it up to my dentist!. I thought it was way more serious than he thought!. basically he told me God gave us a jaw and teeth to chew food and talk!. So the more you can do to limit it to that the better!.!.!. for instance try not to chew gum bc it makes your jaw work more and pop more!. Also, you might be a teeth grinder at night!. Ask your dentist if they can see signs or wear from that, and you can get a night guard to help it!. Most insurances cover one!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You have TMJ consult medical help asap! You're jaw is loose or something!. Mine does the same thing!. I'm too damn poor for it!. You either have to get injections for your jaw balls to loose it up or relax it or get your jaw wired shut or get a mouth gear to allign your jaw line!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
wow! my jaw does the same thing!.!.!.it will crack/pop every once in a while and sometimes it locks open and i can't close it unless i massage my jaw!.!.!.sorry i can't help you out!.!.but if you get a good answer, please let me know!Www@Answer-Health@Com
I have the same problem too, except I get it in the mornings when I eat my breakfast!. I suggest telling your dentist about it the next time you have your appointment, which is what I'll be doing as well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Yes!.!.!.see a dentist to get you started in the right direction!. I had the same thing!.!. They broke my jaw and placed it properly!.!.I don't have the probably anymore and I have my bite corrected!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
