I can not afford to go to the dentist nor do I have health insurance, but I have several cavities that are getting worse everyday!. What can I do about this since I can't afford to go the dentist!? Three of them are on my front teeth so it is very embarrasing!. The worst are in the back though!. I brush my teeth everyday so I don't know why my teeth are the way they are!. I am only 20 so I do not want to lose my teeth like this!. What are some things I could do about it!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sorry to hear about your situation!. If you have active cavities, unfortunately brushing is not going to prevent them from getting worse!. To that end, you need to see a dentist and get them fixed!. If they are not fixed, the cavities will get worse, and instead of fillings, you're going to need root canals, crowns, possibly extractions, then bridges or partials, and basically things will snowball into much bigger (and more expensive) problems!.

I know you said you can't afford to go to the dentist, so you may want to call a local dental school (see link below)!. Dental schools normally are cheaper, but take more time!.

You also may want to try to see if there are any public health clinics that see dental patients (see link below for a partial list)!. Most states have public health dental clinics through their state department of health, or you can even try calling your local hospital!.

If you can't find a clinic for reduced rates, try Care Credit, ask family or friends for help, or see if any local dentist will see you for a reduced rate!. Many clinics will give you a discount even if you don't have insurance!.

Just remember, if you don't get them fixed now, they are going to turn into much bigger and much more expensive problems later!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you know brushing is not enough, you have to floss as well, it's just as important!. as far as paying for the dental care, see if you can find a dentist that will perform the service on credit or something, or see if you can pay in installments!. oral is very important, many diseases are spread thru the mouth and can be detected by a dentist!. if you must, give up other things to help pay for the dentist, you have to take care of your teeth and practice sound oral hygene!Www@Answer-Health@Com
