Question: What OTC medicine is best to take for a dying tooth!?
My boyfriend's had a toothache for the past week now!. The tooth is dying and he's going to get a root canal next week!. Is there anything he can take for the pain to subside it before he goes to the dentist!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try a product called Peroxyl!. It's made by colgate and found in your toothpaste aisle!.
If you don't get Peroxyl, try Hydrogen Peroxide and half water!. Swish in your mouth 4x's daily!.

If you have an appointment for the treatment, your doctor may give you a pain med!. Antibiotics may also be needed!. If there is an active infection he may have a hard time getting numb!. The antibiotic would also take about 48 hours minimum to begin to work!. In the mean time try Advil or any anti-inflammatory med!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
