Hi, I'm a dentist!.

Contrary to another answer to your question, this is called sloughing of the oral mucosa, and it can be caused by a lot of potential irritants in toothpaste and/or mouthwash!. The most likely chemical causing this sloughing is called sodium laurel sulfate!. It is a mild detergent (it causes the toothpaste to foam when you brush) found in almost all dentifrices (toothpastes)!.

You may want to consult your pharmacist for assistance in finding a mild toothpaste that does not include this ingredient!. If this doesn't work, consult your dentist as well to determine what is causing the irritation!. This is just my best guess!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is called chafing and is often an allergic reaction!. It sounds like you have an allergy to your toothpaste or mouthwash!. I would recommend switching both and see what happens!. Talk with your dentist if it continues as they might be able to prescribe a special kind of toothpaste and or mouthwash!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Mouthwash has a tendency to do that!. Its nothing serious just annoying!. If you want, you can discontinue the mouthwash for a day or two and it will stop!.

Well, peeling of skin for the commissure area or the corner of mouth maybe because of an allergy to your mouth rinse or tooth paste or maybe due to vitamin deficiency!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
