Tooth pain while eating a popsicle?!

Question: Tooth pain while eating a popsicle!?
Today I had pizza, some other foods earlier, a cold beverage, and then came home and had a popsicle!. I bit the popsicle using my left very back tooth (since front teeth are sensitive) and it gave me a sharp pain through my jaw!. I can't say that it was only a tiny spot on that tooth, it kind of went from that tooth and almost through that part of my jaw!. This only happened with the ice cream!. I was fine eating pizza and a cold ice tea about 10 minutes before!.
So I went upstairs, took out my little mirror thing and examined the tooth!. It wasn't black or bleeding or broken or anything!. Am I developing a cavity!? What else could it be!? Are there any tests I could do myself to see if its a cavity!? (Like eat something spicy or hot or cold!?) I'm 13 years old just so you know!. I can't remember if I already changed that tooth though!. It might still be a baby tooth, or one of those that you never change!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You don't necessary have a cavity!. I would get sharp pains in my mouth that went through my whole jaw if I ate something, but it wasn't because I had a cavity, but because i didn't floss my teeth well enough!. And if you have a black tooth you may not have a cavity since I have one black tooth and it has been the same since 3 years and it's not a cavity!. You only have cavity if you have a whole in your tooth and it's very tender, but I can honestly say I have never had a cavity!. But you should get it checked out just encase!.
During the check up the dentist will put pressure on your tooth and if it hurts or you have some discomfort they will xray your teeth to see if you have a cavity, and if you do they will make your mouth numb and drill in the cavity tooth and put either a filling or a root canul depending on how bad it is!. Most common is the root canal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have had plenty of dental work, it is no fun!

Sounds like the beginning of a cavity!. Cavities are usually exacerbated by sugary things!.

I would suggest seeing a dentist, it'll save you a lot of trouble in the future!.

Hope you feel better!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I agree, can be the early stages of a cavity!. It sounds like you got a piece of popsicle (ice) on one of your teeth and the tooth only has a little material between the outer surface and the nerve!. Go for a checkup!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
