Weird question about my retainer :]?!


Question: Weird question about my retainer :]!?
i have two retainers [top and bottom] that i can put in and out!.

and they [this is gonna sound gross!.!.!.] sometimes can smell bad!.!.!.

so i was wondering if i could leave them in a cup of like mouthwash or something!.

i brush them and all, but they get gross after a while, and i dont
want to be known as the girl with bad breath!.

so can i leave it in a cup of mouthwash or will it like get weird!?

Actually, that is not a weird question-I have a reatainer too, and i have that same problem-what i do is brush it often, but do NOT soak it in mouthwash cuz it will do damage to it!. but it helps of you dont eat with it in and brush it a lot of chew gum!.!.!.hope that helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com

mouthwash would be fine though id recomend some kind of cleaner for dentures!. sounds kind of weird but you jsut drop the denture cleaner tablet in water and et it sit for a bit then its all fine! i recommend Polident!. it works very well!. remember dont eat with the retainers in or anythingWww@Answer-Health@Com

I work for an orthodontist and we tell our patients to use a denture cleaner and let it soak 30 minutes to an hour a couple of times a week!. You can also brush them with your tooth brush after you brush your teeth!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

no u shuld i got retainers and i have the same problem and i do that it will be fine!.dont feel like a grandma and all puting her dentures in a cup of water lol!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, I do this with my retainer when it gets like that!. It actually feels better in my mouth, too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
