Question: How do you know if you broke yor jaw!?
there is a ball on my jaw!. you can move it any where and it pops out and you can see a lump through my skin!. and when i move it the lump is gone!. it hurts really bad!. is it broken!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

ok it's not broken!.!.!.my mom is a dental assistant and she had a patient with this!. i can't remember the details but they had to go in surgery and remove it!. it was a very simple procedure and the patient recovered very quickly but get it done fast or it will just get bigger and bigger

It usually takes quite a bit of force to actually fracture your jaw!. If you have had any traumatic injury (blunt force to jaw, car accident, fall, etc) to your jaw, then it may be possible!. You could also have a severe abscess that had formed a drainage tract through the bone which could cause a painful lump!. The best thing to do is see a dentist!.
