I remember getting my braces off!.!.!.!.!. years ago!.!.!.!. 2001!. You feel pressure on your teeth, but it doesn't really hurt!. They use plyers to take them off!. They just pull on the brackets and they come off!. Then they "polish" your teeth like they do at the dentist's office to get the cement off!. They'll feel slippery after you get them off and it will feel so weird!.!.!.!. but in a good way! Good luck! Have fun chewing gum again =)Www@Answer-Health@Com

well i got my braces off about ten weeks ago, and it hurts alittle when they are snapping off the brackets!. and then they use a drill type thing to scrap the glue away!. and basically it isn't pain full, it is just uncomfortable!. they had trouble getting two of my top brackets off!. and those ones hurt aLittle!. you may feel a cool sharp pring, everyonce in a while, while they are sanding the glue off!. but after you have them off, there absolutely isn't any pain!. and basically you can start eating stuff like caramel and bubble gum right after!. good luck! you will be very happy to have them off!. i know i am!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Its definately not comfortable, but its not really that painful either!. I think it was worse when I got mine put on, by now we are used to the dentists' tormenting games, lol!. I began eating what I wanted as soon as I left!. This is coming from the girl who ate a bag of cheetos after she got her braces put on (swallowed a bracket lol)!. You will be fine just take deep breaths and remember that everything comes to an end (thats how I got through my SAT's)Www@Answer-Health@Com

It never hurt me getting the off!. They sort of buff the glue off but you honestly shouldn't feel pain!. Might be a bit uncomfortable lying there with your mouth open so long but thats about it!. You should be able to chew gum pretty much straight away, but I wouldn't recommend it if you have a retainer plate in!. Good luck, enjoy your new smile : DWww@Answer-Health@Com

i just got mine off on may 7 and its amazing!. the actual process of taking them off takes like 5 minutes and can sometimes hurt but not badly at all!. getting the cement off is the worst!. bring an ipod because its sort of loud!. it doesnt hurt at all!. it takes time to get used to the feeling but it doesnt hurt at all!. when u leave most orthodentist give a bag of "unallowed candy" and u can go straight to eating it!. its one of the most amazing feelings when u brush ur teeth and move ur tongue on it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

no, it doesn't hurt!.!.!.unless your orthodontist jabs you underneath your jawbone while trying to pry a bracket off!.!.!.that doesn't feel good, but the process is SO exciting and HECK YEA you can eat caramel and chew gum!.!.!.just DON'T do it with your retainer in!!! Good luck, I'm sure your teeth will look fabulous!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

oh my goodness!
i'm getting mine off friday and i'm so excited!.
but i've had them off before (long story) and it didn't hurt!. it was just uncomfortable!. plus the popping noise it makes is LOUD LOUD LOUD so you might want to bring your ipod or mp3 playa!. (:

and you can eat what ever you want as soon as you want <3Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, it doesn't hurt at all!. You will feel some pressure, but that is it!. It is nothing like when they put them on! You should be able to eat whatever you want right away!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
