Root canal this morning and I'm still in pain. Is this normal?!

Question: Root canal this morning and I'm still in pain!. Is this normal!?
Before it was over I began it hurt where tooth had been aching!. Was given another shot!. Since 10:30 am (MDT)I've had 3 naproxen and I STILL hurt!. Should I be concerned!? I didn't expect this much discomfort!.

I'm also concerned because the temporary crown seems to be too big!. When I bite, the crown is only one that touches unless I move jaw funny!. I don't go back for 2 weeks, do I just grin and bear it!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

In general, there can be some discomfort after a root canal!. This can be due to injection reactions, over instrumentation or a residual infection among other things!. However this should improve quickly!. If it doesn't or if you are concerned then call your dentist tomorrow!. They may need to go back in so to speak or possibly put you on an antibiotic!.
As for the crown!.!.!.if it feels like you are biting high on it then you probably are!. If this is the case!.!.!.then this needs to be corrected asap!. A high bite can also casue that tooth to ache as well as your jaw!. If it is just a matter of feeling bulky but your bite is normal (it doesn't sound like it to me based on what you have said) then this is normal!. Ultimately I think you shouldn't wait and call your dentist tomorrow especially if it is still bothering you!. I would want to know if one of my patients was still having problems

As other people have said, you should call the dentist and tell them that you are in pain and it seems like the temp is too big!.!.I just had a root canal and took 2 advil's right when the novicane started to wear off, and I was fine with just those 2!.!.If you are still in pain, something might be wrong!. Don't get too scared, everyone's body and mouth is different so you just might need more meds!. Usually if you call the dentist, they have an emergency number you can call if it's that bad!. If not, give them a call as soon as they open and tell them that you are in pain and might need some prescription meds for pain!. Dentists will try their best to make sure that you aren't in discomfort!. Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

well root canals should help you !.!.maybe the pain is from discomfort from opening your mouth for so long!.!.!. maybe !.!.!.when you go in tell you dds that you still feel pain for call in 2 days if it still hurts!.!.!.!.
