Question: How can I stop my gums from becoming swollen!?
I have braces and now my gums are becoming swollen!. I brush twice a day too!

same here!. i found out mine are swelling cause when i brush, i do it too hard and not properly!. when u brush, do it really lightyly and make small circles!. you also need to floss, but you have to ask the man that does ur braces how so that ur teeth wont bleed!Www@Answer-Health@Com

when i had braces, my gums were swollen too, around my lower back teeth, my orthodontis told me it was an infection becaue its hard to clean around there with a toothbrush when u have bands back there, so she prescribed antibiotics, and it worked!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should probably brush more especially along the gum line use soft toothbrush!. Your dentist or orthodontist will tell you what you need to do!. Flossing is important very, a lot of people don't thats the leading cause of gum disease!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

the braces may be preventing you from properly cleaning in and around the gumline - leading to gingivitis from bacteria buildup!. you should start using special brush tips for flossing and mouthwash!. speak to your dentist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
