Question: Does it hurt to get your braces taken off!?!?!?!?!?
I'm getting my braces off on Friday!.( thank godness) Does it hurt!? if it does what medicane should i use!? what does it feel like after!? can you any thing for the first few days like when getting them on!? Thanks for answering!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Getting braces taken off does hurt a bit!. They pull the brackets OFF your teeth, they have a blue light that loosens the glue!.!.!.but they have to physically pull the metal brackets off your tooth, which hurts a bit, especially if the bracket is stuck tightly onto your tooth!. My braces stuck to my teeth a lot, which took some pulling which hurt me a lot!.!.!.!.Afterwards, your teeth will feel really slimmey and smooth!. Your tongue will keep touching your teeth, and you'll smile into a mirror soooo often, but it's fun! I would recommend not eating hard foods too often RIGHT after getting the braces off, give it a few days!. And brushing will take some time getting used to!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Actually it does not hurt as much because they use this liquid that kinda slide the braces off!. Your teeth will feel naked and it'll feel different!. But there is no need for medicine because the pain does not last!. It'll just feel unconfortable but nothing that you can't handle!. The thing about medicine is that I don't take it unless i absolutly have to because it thickens your blood in order to slow the pain, and by thikening your blood, it can lead to other complications!.

It hurts just as much as when you get them on or have them tightened but after a few days you'll be fine and you'll have great teeth!.
As you are having them taken off I assume you are a pro at having them adjusted and know what the pain is like!. Just keep off solids for a few days and take pain killers!. It only hurts when you bite on something!. Plenty of ice cream - never a bad thing!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It hurts just as much as it hurts when they tighten them every time you went for a visit!.
There will be a little pressure and some scraping on your teeth to take the glue off!.
But its not that bad!. And you will start talking funny again just as when you just got your braces on!.lol but it goes away quick!.
oh and your teeth will look huge! and you wont be able to stop liking them with your tongue!.
& always wear your retainers as the dr says!.!.!. very very important!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It doesn't hurt (unless you have those things around one of your back teeth)!. However, after they take them off, the clean your teeth VERY throroughly, and then even go under your gums a bit which can be a bit sore!. But you shouldn't need any medicine!. Your teeth feel super smooth after you're done though =]Www@Answer-Health@Com
No!! it feels so GOOD!!! You won't be able to stop smiling! I got mine off two weeks ago today, and i was smiling at random people i didn't even know!!! Ah you'll LOVE it!
