Question: I hate going to the dentist and getting my teeth cleaned! Anyone else feel the same way!?

i know how you feel, haven't been to a dentist in 10 years because i hate everything about a dental office, even the dentist most of the time!. The dentist yells at me for not taking care of my mouth and its going to cost me an arm and 5 legs!. I hate the taste of rubber gloves in my mouth and things even touching my mouth!. I hate the new blast guns they have to polish your teeth and then scrape them with a horrible metal thing!.
That is what sedation dentistry is for my friend!. It may cost a lot for sedation, but trust me it pays off!. I had 2 teeth pulled and 4 cavities filled with good filings!. I hate when i opened my mouth and everyone saw metal teeth with brite white casings ( my teeth)!. I have a lot more dental work to do, but i can smile with out someone goingewwwwwwww!. know!. good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

As a hygienist I know a lot of people feel the same way as you do, so you are not alone!. =)Let your hygienist know why you hate seeing her and maybe she can be a little more gentle!. It also helps to be diligent with brushing and flossing!. If you are doing a good job taking care of your teeth daily, you won't have to worry about the hygienist doing a lot of "scraping" because there should not be a lot of build up on your teeth!. Sorry to hear you hate it so much, but good luck when you do go in for a cleaning!.!.!.!.hope your hygienist will show you some mercy!. =)Www@Answer-Health@Com
