Question: Is it supposed to be THIS fast (braces)!?
I just got my braces tightened!. Two questions, is it suppoed to hurt so bad I have to take something to take the pain away!? And also, I had a HUGE gap in between my two front teeth, and the next day, my teeth were like touching!. Is this normal!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, it will hurt at times so you need to take pain reliever!. To play it safe, take something about thirty minutes before your appointment next time to head it off!.
Teeth move quickly sometimes, especially if they've put a "chain" on to close the space!. Or if other teeth moved into place pushing the two on either side of your gap causing it to close!. It's normal!. You may also experience spaces opening up where you didn't have any before!. They should have explained this to you already, but not all offices are the same!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

but i can tolerate the pain thats y i didnt had pain relievers!.

because when braces are tightened they put elastics on it which causes the pain then it causes the teeth to move so that sooner your teeth will be aligned!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i think that it depends on your teeth!. I had a tooth that was behind another one and it was fixed it almost 2 weeks (not completely obviously) and i was very suprised!. I got my braces just before easter and when one of my cousins saw me she said that my teeth were already straight!.!.and i hink they really did improve so i think it really just depends on how ready your teeth are to moveWww@Answer-Health@Com
You got one heck of an adjustment! Teeth can move very quickly so I'm not at all surprised your gap is closed!. With things moving that quick you may be sore for a few days I would keep extra strength tylenol in your system for the next few days!. Be happy your teeth are moving so fast!Www@Answer-Health@Com
You're fine!. My braces moved my teeth really fast!. Everybody's mouth is different!. My orthodontist said that mine were faster than usual but that there's nothing wrong with that--be grateful, it will be over sooner! And yes, the pain is totally normal :( I had to take Advil too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
yup but they move back just as fast so that's why you have to keep braces on for a long time (and make sure you wear your retainer regularly after you get them off!. if you don't it will be a waste of time (and pain) and you will most likely regret itWww@Answer-Health@Com
