Answers:
A labial frenum is the one that attaches ur lips to the gums!. A frenectomy is a surgical procedure that cuts the frenum!. Sometimes, the frenal attachment is to close to your gumline that it causes a gap between ur 2 upper front teeth as it disallows the tooth to erupt into that space!. By having a frenectomy, it may help by allowing space for the 2 upper front teeth to move!. However, after the frenectomy, u may need some other treatment like braces to move the 2 upper front teeth to close up the gap!. If u are interested and are concerned about ur apperance, u may have a consult with an oral surgeon for more detailed explaination and advice before making the decision!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
A frenectomy is the clippingl of tissue underneath your lip!. If you pull your upper lip out you should see a piece of tissue right above your 2 front teeth that goes from your teeth to almost the middle of your lip!. This is called your frenum!. After some time this tissue gets tough and can create space between your teeth!. What the dentist does is simply clip the tissue !. Yes it does help because the constant movement of you lip makes that tissue tougher and therefore creates more space between your teeth!. Afterward you either get braces or invisalign or continue to look like MadonnaWww@Answer-Health@Com
I had this done!. It separates your lip from your gum, and my I suggest if you are going to have this done have it done by laser!. I had my done years ago and my insurance wouldn't cover laser so I had it done the old fashioned way, and I chew on the scar all the time! I had it done to move my front teeth closer together and to brighten my smile!. It works wonders!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
