Chipped tooth pains?!

Question: Chipped tooth pains!?
I chipped about half of my front upper tooth around 6 or 7 years ago!. I had it put back on my the dentist and have had NO pain until just a day ago!. The pain feels pulsing and is really painful!. Is a crown necessary and/or a root canal!. And are root canals today at all painful!? Thanks!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Sounds like it is about time for your tooth to be redone!.!.!. probably whatever adhesive that was used to bind your tooth back together has worn away and now your root is being exposed to everything that is being put into your mouth!. Definitely go back to the dentist and see what they can do!.!.!. maybe they can just patch it back up without having to use a cap!. A lot of times the average filling/dental work lasts around 5 years!.!.!. 10 at most!. Hope you feel better soon!Www@Answer-Health@Com
