Answers:
gosh you poor girl, i feel really sorry for you there as ive had the same thing in my past too!. It sounds like you have an absess in your tooth and that is why the painkillers are not working!. Unfortunately there is not much you can do for that!. The only thing that would work is antibiotics, or for the dentist to redo the filling!. Try ringing your own dentists number and see if the answering machine comes on where it gives you the number for the emergency dentist!. If not the hospital has dentists there too incase of emergencies and i am sure they will help you!. One thing is for certain!. the longer you leave it the worse the pain will get!. so grab the phone now and get it sorted!.

good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I know what you are going through I just went through this myself!.!.!.pain killers can only do so much !.!.and I do know what NOT to do ( according to my dentist ) DO NOT use any of the gum numbing over the counter stuff like oragel or anbesol they irritate the gums and make it worse!.!.!.I used an old fashioned method of putting an aspirin directly on the tooth and that was bad to although it gave me temporary relief it burned the gums bad !.!.!.rinsing your mouth with warm salt water as often as possible!.!.!.watch what you eat!.!.!.eat only soft foods nothing high in salt or sugar!.!.!.and alternate the warm rinses with hot and cold compresses!.!.!.those little thingys you can pop in the freezer or microwave are great but if all else fails the good old fashioned ice in a wash cloth if you dont have a ice bag or a warm wash cloth!.!.!.hang in there I feel for ya!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't use a hot water bottle!!
If you have infection there the hot water will make it worse and swell into your face!. It's unlikely you do have an infection, it is normally very normal to have pain after a filling, especially if the filling is deep!. Call NHS Direct as they may give you more advice and refer you to an emergency dentist tomorrow if you fit the criteria!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

yeah Ive had this problem and it sounds like and infection is present under the filling, you will need to see a dentist a!.s!.a!.p but being bank holiday you may have to wait, try a hot water bottle wrapped in a towel put it next to the painful area, also nurophen work well as they reduce swelling!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you go to A&E they can't really do that much for you as there isn't a dentist!. They might give you some codeine as an additional pain killer but the drug that will help the most is an antibiotic called metronidazole!. That'll buy you some time before you see the emergency dentist via NHS directWww@Answer-Health@Com

Regularly take paracetamol AND ibuprofen as together they should lessen the pain and swelling!.

Rinse your mouth out with salt water a couple of times incase there is an infection!. If the pain does become too much to bear, go to A and E, as they will be able to give you something stronger until you are able to get an emergency dental appointment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it's really painful call an emergency dentist, if there is bacteria under the filling or you have a fractured root then it only takes a night for them to create a mega abscess and it'll hurt a hell of a lot more!!
Don't take paracetamol and ibuprofen together!.!.!.!.take them 2 hours apart!
I would recommend the emergency dentist thoughWww@Answer-Health@Com

you wont be able to get pain killers to take the pain away completely but you can telephone 0845 46 47 nhs direct in the uk they will be able to tell you of a dentist that is open near you over the bank Holiday
