I had my wisdom teeth out Friday. Everytime I rinse, i get pieces of dried up bl!

Question: I had my wisdom teeth out Friday!. Everytime I rinse, i get pieces of dried up blood!. Dry Socket!?
So I rinse every now and then with salt water, and I put moist black tea bags back there (it seems to help the pressure feeling)!. Every time I gently rinse with salt water, I get tiny pieces of what looks like dried blood!. Is this the blood clot coming out!? Will I get dry socket!? I hate to disturb the surgeon on a weekend!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Dry socket symptoms start around day 3-4 after extraction!. You KNOW if you are having dry socket because pain is very intense!. You are probably seeing piece of food or sloughing off of "dead" tissues!. I don't think you need to use tea bags any more unless you are still bleeding!. The purpose of the tea bag is to help to stop bleeding!. Glad to hear you are rinsing with salt water gently!. Continue to do that, it will aid in healing!. Hope this helped!.

Comment on tea bag: If you are not bleeding, I would just use gauze for biting!. If you use gauze, make sure it is wet before you remove it from the mouth (gauze tends to stick to tissue if they are dry)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am worried about the same thing!. I am still in a lot of pain!. The salt water has helped me!. I acutely lost a stitch today!. That kinda scares me!. I think it's to soon!.

I did e-mail you!.
