Something inside my gums?!
Question: Something inside my gums!?
I was eating grilled corn a while ago and I was taking off burnt pieces on my teeth, and I "accidentally" pusshed one of the burnt pieces down and got INSIDE my gums!.
I brushed and flossed my teeth and it is still there! I tried taking it out (with the sharp end of a flosser thing) and little pieces just came out, not the whole thing!. And now my gums kinda hurt and are bleeding!. The burnt piece doesn't bother or anything though, but I am just concerned that it is just stuck in there!.
How do I get it out!? Do I go get surgery or go to a dentist!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi, I had a similar incident with pistachios!. I thought the skin of one got imbedded in my gum!. I went to 3 dentists, each found no evidence of any foreign object!. I picked at it myself with a dental pick (you have to have a very high tolerance for pain to do that!) after which the pain subsided but then the pain moved to an adjacent area!.
Finally a different dental hygienist determined I needed a deep cleaning to remove plaque below the gum line!. FINALLY RELIEF!
Water picks can help but you must aim at the side of the gum so you do not push it further in!.
The fact that something got caught in there in the first place may indicate that you have some separation of gum from tooth which is caused by plaque build-up!.
See your dentist and request a deep cleaning or scaling!. I pray our gums will re-attach tightly to the tooth!Www@Answer-Health@Com

the same thig happened to me with a tortilla chip!.!.!.!.i just swished furiously with listerine and it came out!.
