Question: After 5 days from extraction of should the inside of my mouth still be a bit swollen!?
Well, I still cannot talk right and its irritating me!. So how long does it usually take for the swelling of getting all four wisdom teeth removed for a 14 yr old!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Typically, the swelling from wisdom teeth removal will hit its maximum three days from the time that teeth are removed!. It will generally go down fairly quickly after that!. Since you still have some swelling, you may find that applying a heating pad (20 min on 20 min off) will increase the circulation to the area and bring the swelling down more quickly!. If one week after the extraction has passed and the swelling is not improving, you may have an infection!. Then, I recommend that you see your surgeon!.

You need to see the dentist that removed the wisdom teeth if you are concerned!. I had mine done it was a while before I felt better!.
But, to insure nothing is amiss, you really need to see the dentist or oral surgeon that did the removal!. There should be no charge for this since it is part of the original visit and if they try to tell you there is, tell them what I posted and they will back off!.
I doubt they will charge, but every now and then someone tries or forgets and you need to remind them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
