OMG!!! YOU'LL BE IN PAIN FOREVER!!!

Just kidding!. I had all 4 of mine taken out 2 years ago!. I will say that what they show/tell you scares you!.!.!. especially for somebody like me who didn't know what to expect!. But if you go to a respectable doctor then it's no problem!.

Basically, you'll be in pain but not until a few hours after the surgery!. That's when the drugs cut off!. Thankfully though they give you medicine with codine that is good for you!.

TIP: Eat ice cream!. Vanilla ice cream is the best because the cold numbs the gums real good!. I had some ice cream about 3 hours after I woke up from the drugs and it made it feel real good!.

and to tell you what happened when I was given the drugs at the time of surgery!. Everything felt normal and then I said to the nurse "Am I supposed to feel like this!?" I don't remember what she said because I passed out by that time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Are you getting all 4 removed at the same time!?!!? If you are then your face will most likely swell up!.

I had one wisdom tooth removed last year and I was afraid I was going to bleed non stop!. Since, my siblings and friends all bled for hours after having a wisdom tooth removed!. However, mine didn't bleed at all! I put the gauze thing in my mouth for 45 minutes and then it was like nothing had happened to me!. But then again I do have small teeth so I don't know!.

Just follow the dentists orders and you should be fine!. EAT lots of ice cream as it will help with the swelling and it will feel good in your mouth!. You will have to avoid hard food for a bit and try not too chew too much!. So most likely you will be eating a lot soups or liquid food!.

It's really not as bad as people make sound to be!. Be relaxed and it doesn't take too long!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your face may sweel alot of the "swelling" appearanceactaully come from the cotton the pack in, but it will swell!. it will hurt but if you follw the after care instructions the chances that an infection will develop is very little!. It will not hurt THAT much!. Now, very few people are like me, but my experience was I took one pain pill when i got home and was cleaning my kitchen that night!. So, just do what they tell you and it won't be that bad promise!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My dentist gave me numerous local injections of novacaine or some kind of painkillers and lots of them, and I was on nitrious oxide (laughing gas)!. I was high as a kite!. If there was no anesthesia then it would probably impossible to perform the operation!. If you do have the option, get the laughing gas!. After the operation, just go to sleep!. Your whole jaw will be numb for a few days!. Of coarse, follow the directions of the dentist afterwards as well to avoid complications like an infection!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had this same procedure about six months
ago!. I had never had surgery either and it was cool
when they put me under, i was like "i don't really feel tiiirreeed"
and passed out lol!. You will only be swelled up for the first day!.
It will hurt for the next week, and then you'll feel fine
eating everything!. The weirdest thing for me is the
little holes in your gums that you have to wash out
w/ that little water sprayer thingy lol, doesn't
hurt but it feels weird!. You'll be fine!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't worry you are not on your own lol! I'm having mine removed soon aswell, n people have said the same to me!. I don't know about you but I'm guessing if your having them removed, like me they are causing you agony!?! Try not to panick too much, im sure you will be fine n the way i see it, i'd rather have a few days of pain than the pain i have now forever!!!! Hope that has helped you :) oh yeah, and good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

My brothers have had their wisdom teeth out!.!. you will be just fine, I promise!. All you need to worry about is what you are going to be eating for the next 2 or 3 days!. My brother ate jello, pudding, ice cream, and soup!.!. and just watch some TV or something for those days!. You will forget everything that happened when you get your surgery and be all loopy!.!.!. but it will be okay! When I mean when you forget things you will forget everything that day kind of!. Good luck and you will be FINE!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It doesn't hurt as much as you expect!. They give you ice packs that help a lot and pain medication!. Your face will swell up, but it will go down after a week or so!. I was surprised it didn't hurt as much as I had been led to believe!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it's going to hurt like hell!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well dont be scared!. I had 3 of mine pulled at once!. Having multiple teeth pulled at once is never good!.!.!. especially multiple teeth that are used for grinding your food so you can eat!. Here is what I remember sucking the most:
1!. Eating!. My throat was extremely sore, my teeth were sensitive, and my jaw was soooo sore!. You have to take the tiniest bites because you cant open your jaw to chew so everyhitng takes 9 hours to eat and is the opposite temp it should be when youre done with it!
2!. Sleeping!. If you take your meds like you should, you will be able to sleep until about 12-3 in the morning at which time the agonizing pain of your mouth will wake you up to take more pills!. This happened to me for a few weeks!.
3!. Trying to drink ANYTHING after you get home for the first time!.!.!. you'll have to drink in order to take your pills at very least!. Your mouth is so numb from the procedure and your mouth will be VERY dry like cotton-mouth!.
4!. Dealing with the gauze they make you put on the wound for like 48 hours I think!. Your mouth is sore to begin with and you have to keep putting dry freakin gauze on these wounds every 30 minutes!. You are to keep your wound moist because if it dries your blood clot that protects the bone will dry and air will get to the bone in your mouth and that is the worst pain in the whole world!.!.!. so keep your mouth wet!
5!. I happened to get dry socket which is not all that common, but it's just a little bit more aching pain, not a huge deal compared to the whole big picture!.
6!. Forgetting I cant chew on that part of my mouth after a few weeks!.!.!. need I say that it hurts to chew on an open wound!?
7!. Toting salt water everywhere I went!. It was just inconvienient!.

These are seriously the only bad parts I can think of!.!.!. and it really isnt that bad!. The procedure is not bad and the healing is not bad so long as you take care of yourself like you are supposed to!. Never forget these things:
1!. Always wash your mouth out with salt water no matter what you ate or as often as you can!.!. it kills the germs that start infection from the food stuck in one of the holes in your mouth!.
2!. Jello is your best friend!. Go buy as many flavors as you think you like!.!.!. you wont be sorry!. add cool whip or equivalent for a treat!
3!. Drink a TON of water!.!. it speeds up healing as you are flushing toxins out of your body faster this way!.
4!. Go buy yourself 1000 mg Vitamin C and take it 3 times a day!.!.!. speeds up healing!.
5!. Dont be afraid to take your meds!.!.!. you are not being an addict by taking them if you are in pain!.!.!. thats what they are made for! Just know when to stop, OK!?
6!. As sucky as it may be, YES you have to keep the gauze o for that long!.!.!. it helps build a blood clot which keeps that bone wet so you arent in pain!.!.!. rememeber!?!?
7!. Keep ice on your face because it feels so much better cold and apparently it helps with the swelling ( I didnt have a problem with this)!.

I almost had a freakin panic attack when I went in for mine!. Dont be afraid, you'll live I promise!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
