Question: I had my wisdom teeth out a week ago and have to get a needle in the gap to remove food!.!?
Has anyone had this and what exactly is it!? The stiches are gone and its just a huge gap so food gets in there easily, Ive been told i have to go home and do it myself is it hard to do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think I know why you're freaked out!.!.!.you probably heard that you'd be using a syringe to get the food out, and you thought that "syringe" meant "needle"!. That's why I always tell patients it's a "squirt gun" because syringe sounds so scary!! You don't have to stab yourself with it! Think of it more like using a garden hose to squirt bird poop out of your bicycle lock (or any other of those hard-to-reach places!!)Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's not too hard, but it can hurt!. I've never had mine removed, but a good friend of mine has and he got a gap, but it closed up after awhile!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yea its fine i was given a little water squirter thing to clean out the sockets, they will heal in about 2-3 monthsWww@Answer-Health@Com
