Question: Why is this and how should I treat this!?!!?

I have a wisdom tooth coming in an there is a lot of pain around it!.!.!.there is quite a bit of swelling !. I have been reading that this might be an "impacted" wisdom tooth!.
So I guess my question is why is the swelling so bad and is it dangerous to have!? Is there any at-home treatments besides Ibroufen that I can use!? Right now I can not get in to see a dentist because I am waiting for my isurance to become active!.

I am IN SO MUCH PAIN and need the best advice on how I can feel better until I can get to a dentist!.!.!.!.!.any suggestions will help!.!.!.!.I have already read quite a lot onilne about the tooth and it would be great if anyone has any more insight insight into what is going on!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I know you have to wait for your dental insurance to kick in but if there is swelling and a lot of pain, you may have not only an impacted wisdom tooth but also an infected wisdom tooth!. You really do need to get to a dentist and at least see what is going on and possibly get on some antibiotics and pain pills!. It can at least help you to get through until your insurance kicks in!.
