ok braces do not really hurt!. i have ahd them for 2 months and i was scared too!.!.!. but like i was like agh no big deal after i got them!. when they are putting them on nothing hurts really except when they put the wire in you might feel a tiny pull but thats no big deal and make sure to take motron or advil before!. it always helps!. but everytime you get them tightened it hurts like just a headache form them pulling but it is totally fine!.!.don't be scared! good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

They don't actually hurt when you get them put on!.
But a few hours later, yes they hurt, but it's really nothing to get worked up about because your body adapts to them like everything else!.
It's not an excruciating pain, but it's not comfortable either!.
The dentist will give you wax to put over them and it does get stuck in between your teeth but make sure you use it because it helps the pain!. The wax is used to keep your braces from cutting your lips, and getting stuck to them!.
Just avoid hard candies, caramel, and nuts for a few days and stick to soups and eggs or toast because applying pressure hurts them for about a week until you get used to it!. After all, metal isn't supposed to be in your mouth, yes it's uncomfortable, but don't get worked up about it!.

They don't hurt while you are getting them on, except maybe the molar bands!. I couldn't bite down on anything with my front teeth for about 2 weeks and I was wondering when it would end!.!.!.it will end soon enough and you will be fine!. They do hurt after but the thing that worked best for me was Motrin!.!.!.take your dosage and you should be fine!.

No they don't!. Ive had them 4 almost 1 year and they only give me problems when I get them tightened!. I guess it really depends on how sensitive your mouth is, but mine don't hurt at all!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
