Answers:
If you are unsure after anything to do with a medical proceedure you need to contact the practitioner!. So contact your dentist!.

Your face will mostly be hurting as you had the tooth drilled and ther will still be pressure there from the abcess!. The antibiotics are to help fight any infection that caused the abcess and if it pops its full off gunk and general nastiness and can make things worse if your immune system isnt up to scratch!

Remember you have had a constant pressure in you jaw it will hurt after and feel achy so I would say your ok!.

But I would reccomend asking if you are concerned!Www@Answer-Health@Com

just check you are not using any alcohol at all as the antibiotics used metronidazole react very badly to alcohol making you feel sick - sometimes even if you use perfume with alcohol in it,

if you have totally avoided alcohol perhaps you're reacting to the antibiotics and sometime eating live yogurt with them helps or those bio-active drinks!.

if it continues after you have finished the antibiotics (they normally only give you 5 days worth) then book to see your dentist as the abscess may not have fully drained!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Its not unusual but if you are feeling unwell generally or have a raised temperature then you may need a different type of antibiotics!. Your dentist will prescribe you a different antibiotic but mey suggest that youa lso continue the other antibiotic!. It just means that the infection has entered your blood stream!.

Definitly contact your dentist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The infection that caused the abcess can also affect the bone in your jaw!. I suggest you contact your dentist for futher treatment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
