Braces experience?!
Question: Braces experience!?
Hey everyone,
I'm getting braces on monday!. A teenager cant experience the full package without braces! Can anyone tell me what to expect!? When does it hurt!? I am only wearing them for a year and a half!? And i'm nervous! Any advice!.

Hello, I got my braces removed about 6 months ago!. As you are getting them on Monday I assume you have had moulds taken and x-rays!? The moulds are minging aren't they!? haha!.
When you get there you'll be there for about an hour while they put on the braces, and you should be able to choose a colour to put on! Choose paler colours as you have only just gotten braces and you don't wanna drag too much attention to them (my first colour was dark purple and they were really 'out there' lol)!.
There shouldn't be much pain at all when you are getting them on, just a bit of discomfort as the wires are tightened!. It's really nothing to worry about, when you get home they will feel really weird, you'll probably have a lisp and find it difficult to eat - eat soft foods like yogurt and stuff it'll get easier!.
Also after a few days/weeks you may find your braces cut into your cheeks, ask your orthodontist for 'wax' to ease this discomfort!. After a month or so your cheeks will toughen up and you will be able to eat and drink whatever you like!.!.after 'tightening' visits drink ice cold water to ease discomfort if you experience any that is!.!.!.You will soon see a difference in your teeth really quickly!.

I have braces nearly a year now , i find they work very fast!.
First you will need an x-ray and get pictures and moulds done !. then on the big day you get braces you will need to sit down for an hour and keep your mouth open so the glue and brackets will be put on!. They dont hurt but only feel weird !. after this you may need medication to kill the pain becuase you wont be used to the pressure on your teeth !. It will go in a few days !. That is true about every teenager gets braceswell they put them on they don't hurt just fell like you are droling a whole lot but in about a hour your teeth will be very sore and tender you'll be able to eat solid food with in a week or 2 just eat soup and potatoes and any thing softWww@Answer-Health@Com
