Not a dry socket! No pain...just achy-ness..so what is going on?!

Question: Not a dry socket! No pain!.!.!.just achy-ness!.!.so what is going on!?
Ok so I had a huge molar extracted last friday!.!.!.tooth #29!.!.!.it has been six days now!. I wasnt good about not smoking, but I was good about all of the other instructions!. Also, the oral surgeon sewed it up so I dont think I have a dry socket after reading on this site about how much pain I would be in!. BUT!.!.!.my left lower jaw is kind of swollen and I feel like I have an earache!. My ear canal is kind of crackly when I open and close my mouth and I cant really explain it except for it just seems very ACHY!. I've been moody and fatigued!. I'm taking Clindamyacin every 4 hours and 800 mg ibuprofin every 6 to 8 hours!. My lymph nodes do not seem to be swollen so I dont know if I have infection or not!. Can somebody tell me what they think is going on!? Thanks so much!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just for information purposes, tooth #29 is not a molar - it is a pre-molar otherwise known as a bicuspid!. Anyway, it sounds like there may be another tooth that could be giving you this pain!. What you are describing is common with toothaches!. It is normal to have some discomfort after extractions but the fact that you are having an ear ache suggests that maybe it could be either another tooth that is giving you a problem or it could be a wisdom tooth that is giving you problems, depending on your age - wisdom teeth usually erupt in your early 20's!. I would definitely go back to the O!.S!. and explain what is going on!. Also, make sure you are swishing your mouth with a warm saltwater solution - it will help your gums heal up a lot quicker from your extraction - Hope this helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com
