Pre-dental experience???!
Question: Pre-dental experience!?!?!?
This summer I wanted to spend some time volunteering at a Dental Office to gain experience and exposure to the dental field!. Only thing is I don't know where to start!. How do I go about asking a dentist if I can volunteer at their office!? In other words, how can I do so professionally, should I walk in or should I call and ask to speak to the dentist!? ( advice preferably from someone in the medical field)Www@Answer-Health@Com

As for me, I would like an introductory letter telling me about yourself and what you are proposing!. Also in the letter you need to state that you will be calling the office in a few days to see if they are interested in having you!. Best bet may be to contact your local dental society, and inquire with them!. They may have the best knowledge as to which dentist are more into having pre-dents shadow in their office!. Another way is to contact your local dental school; some already have volunteer programs set up within their schools, so you can also see what life is like in dental school

I'd call around!. Find out who you need to speak to!. Maybe the office manager!. Maybe the actual dentist!. And if you know someone, that always helps!. A friend of a friend maybe!. I mean, I'm sure any dentist would love to have free labor!. Tell them you're willing to learn and will help them out in any way!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
