Tooth Extraction or Root Canal Treatment???!

Question: Tooth Extraction or Root Canal Treatment!?!?!?
My last upper left molar is hurting and the dentist told me to have it extracted instead of undergoing root canal treatment because there might be a possibility that the adjacent tooth will become affected as well!. Should I consider the option of having it extracted!? Dentist said that it's just upper last molar anyway, and said that it won't have an effect on teeth alignment if I opted it to be removed!. Dentist also mentioned that performing RCT on the last upper molar is painful along with that I have to keep my mouth wide open during the entire procedure!. Your answer will be much appreciated :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

If I am thinking correctly, your last upper left molar is likely your wisdom tooth!.

In most cases it is better to have the wisdom tooth extracted instead of having root canal treatment because:

1!. Yes you do have to open very wide - the dentist will need around 2-3cm working space down at the very back and not many people can open that wide for 2-3 x1hr appointments!.

2!. Not many people have any use of their wisdom tooth - you don't really use it to eat

3!. The reason why this tooth would have started hurting can only be due to a!. decay and b!. gum infection >> both have arised because you haven't been brushing very well and even if you are keen on saving the tooth - you can't promise to still be able to keep it clean after it is fixed!.

4!. The root canal system is usually very complex and most dentists won't be able to do root canal treatment and will refer to the specialist (endodontist) who can't promise to have a successful outcome either!.

5!. Unless this is the last tooth that is holding your false teeth, best to have it taken out!

Note: If you decide to have root canal treatment, it won't be painful because you have anaethetic!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've had both procedures done and root canals are pure torture!. They take forever and it does get difficult to keep your mouth open the entire time!. Considering where your tooth is located I would opt for the extraction!. It will be over quickly and you won't have to worry about further infection!. Plus it is significantly cheaper to have the extraction!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think that you should go with RCT it is a process in which spoiled blood of the effected teeth's vain is thrown out with some treatment!.and when your topic comes to pain then now we are having many vaccinations by which you will even not feel of painWww@Answer-Health@Com

My bro just had a root canal done on tuesday, and he said it didn't hurt!. He said there was only one part that made him jump because it hit a nerve or something!. But if the doc says itll be best to extract it, you should probably do that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
