Question: I just got my tongue periced on tuesday!. my tongue is still swollen and i have a yellowy, white!.!.!?
fury film kindof thing thats happening on my tongue!.
and i didnt have it before the periceing!.
also i brush my t eeth (i cnt brush my tonge a tm with the pirceing) and i use the yellow listerine
why do ihave this!?

Hi! I dont think your tongue is infected because I had the same thing happen to me!. You might be using the mouthwash a little too often and it has burned the top of your tongue and the yellow color could be from the yellow listerine! Try mixing half water, half mouthwash or using a salt water rinse more often!. Or just switch to a different mouthwash I switched to Crest Pro-Health and had no problems! I got my tongue pierced last year and it was swollen for about a week!. But I never got a yellow, white furry film on it!. Don't take the piercing out but definately call the place you got it pierced and have them take a look at it!. I would also try using Bioteen mouthwash!. It REALLY helped mine!. Also, try keeping a cup of ice with you and just keep the ice on your tongue!. It helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It probably is infected!. Have you been rinsing with a saline solution!? I had to do that several times a day when I first got my nose pierced!. But a pierced tongue can get infected really quickly if you don't brush your teeth right after eating because bacteria can grow quickly in the mouth!. If it continues you should take it out and you might need anti-biotics!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
well i have mine done too and it sounds like you haven't bee properly taking care of it !.!.!. i don't suggest taking it out !.!.!. but i do suggest going to the doctor!.!. i also used another oral rinse its called peroxyl its an oral antiseptic kind of like peroxide for your mouth !.!.!. that should help alot!.!.!.good luck !.!.!. lots of ice !.!.!.don't chew on it !.!.!. only suckWww@Answer-Health@Com

Often with piercing in places other that the ear, a course of mild anti-biotics is given to quell possible infection!. Just go see a doctor, he will tell you what it is and the action to take!.

It sounds like just a minor infection, but make sure to go to the doctor so it doesn't turn into a bigger one!.
Don't worry too much though just go get it checked out you'll be fine!.

it sounds like an infection, this kind of infections are normal after a tongue pierce but it can turn pretty bad if you do not go see a Doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
