After wisdom teeth extraction?!
Question: After wisdom teeth extraction!?
I can't seem to see any stitches in my mouth, and its been a few days since i did the operation!. Is it normal to not have stitches and let the hole heal by itself!? Will the possibility of an infection be greater!?

I got my wisdom teeth pulled out and I didn't get stitches, yes the hole can heal up by itself, but make sure you clean it out!. I didn't get an infection, but that doesn't mean you can't even with stitches you can!. Just take care of it until it heals!.

I had my wisdom teeth pulled too! idk about not having stitches, bc i had dissolvable stitches, i couldn't see them at first, but when the swelling went down i could see them!. mines were white!. after a while they started coming out, and that was my sign that my hole thingy had healed!. but if the hole is completely open and hasn't healed yet, then yes the possibility of an infection will be greater!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Check with your oral surgeon who removed your wisdom teeth!. Maybe he/she used stitches that disintegrate, after a week or so!? maybe they're there but you can't see them - maybe their color is close to the color of your gum tissue!? Perhaps the hole is actually filled with a color close to your gum tissue color!? It doesn't seem that he/she left an empty hole to catch bacteria!.!.!.I'd call and get some answers from oral surgeon!. Definitely not stupid questions - the OS (or assistant) would be happy to answer for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Stitches dissolve on their own!. Dont worry its perfectly normal!. There will be a hole and even flap of skin for alil while!. It does take some time to heal and its ok!. Just go with the flow!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
