Super-glue a tooth?!

Question: Super-glue a tooth!?
As I was eating a cherry-flavored Air Head, I came to realize that the adhesive trait of the candy is indeed enough to pull a fragment free from one of my molars!. It is a chunk of tooth that came off easy probably because it was already a thin bridge (near where I had a cavity filled when I was much younger)!. Now, I can't afford to go to a dentist, so I'm seriously considering super-gluing the fragment back into place (it slides back into place pretty easily)!. Is this a good idea, or possibly a nomination for a Darwin award!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well as far as I know, Super-glue was invented for medical purposes (But thats for bonding skin, not teeth!)

There is a news article of someone suergluing a tooth back in before (Link below)

However, I doubt it will be a good idea without thorough cleaning, as supergluing it back on could indeed trap millions of bacteria in!. And with no way of cleaning it afterwards, you might be in for one heck of an infection!.

Also, because the mouth is so warm/moist, you may have a hard time getting it to set properly, if at all!. If you do decide to go on with it!.!. Remember- Mouth open, Tongue away, breathe through nose!

I highly doubt that the Superglue will stay all that super for long though!. My guess would be after a week of chewing and the warmth/wetness inside your mouth, it will be back out, probably when you dont expect it!.

Dentists arent cheap, we all know that, but they're there for a reason!. Sure its cheaper to DIY, but what if it gets infected!? That wont be something you'll be able to get rid of, and it will cost a heck of alot more to deal with!. Some dentists may even refuse you if you mentione DIY dentistry W/ superglue!

Anyway, good luck with whatever you decide buddy!. The link below is for the previous DIY DentistryWww@Answer-Health@Com

if it doesn't hurt, just leave it like it is!. if there is a problem, it will hurt!. that's what pain is for, to tell you when something is wrong!.

superglueing it back on will trap stuff under it, unless your tooth is perfectly clean and dry, which is very hard to do, especially on a molar!. that is what the dentist is for!.

just let it be!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Uhhh well!.!.!.!.if you want to piss off your dentist and have to pay a lot of ******* money to fix it when you go to the dentist next, GO AHEAD AND SUPERGLUE!Www@Answer-Health@Com
