Teeth Retainer ;o?!

Question: Teeth Retainer ;o!?
Well last night i decided to put my retainer in as i havn't had it in for a few days or weeks, and ill be returning to the orthodentist pretty soon, and i noticed the retainer sat off my teeth the slight little bit, not sitting perfect!.

So is this movement of my teeth a major problem or nothing to big, as my dentist will probably give me a speech about it when i return, this will be my final appointment with him/them!.

Also is wearing a retainer really important or can i sleep with my mouth at ease!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like your teeth have shifted and the retainer's not fitting well!. Your ortho may be able to adjust it, but may not, it'll depend on how much they've moved!.

How big of a deal your teeth relapsing, after all you've gone through to get them straight and beautiful, is all up to you!. Do you like having straight teeth especially after all the time, sacrifice and discomfort you went through!? (Not to mention the large amount of money spent on it!?)

Retainers prevent your teeth from shifting!. The ligament that holds the tooth in the jawbone sort of has a memory (it's the easiest way of describing it)!. It will want to go back to where it was when treatment started!.

It's really really important to wear the retainer if you want to keep your teeth straight!. You should be wearing it as much as your ortho told you to!. In time you'll be able to wear it less, but you never want to just give it up alltogether!.

I had braces in the '80's, still have a bonded retainer on the lowers and wear a removable every few nights because I still remember just how jacked my teeth were!. I won't go back to that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Teeth move constantly throughout your life, and the ONLY way to keep your teeth exactly as they were when you got your braces off, is to wear your retainer every night for the rest of your life!. Of course you will probably not want to do that, but for the first few months at least, you must wear it every night or as directed by your orthodontist!. Your bite needs time to settle in its new position!.

If a couple of weeks without the retainer has let your teeth move a bit, a few years without it will have your teeth probably almost as bad as they were before braces, and all that money and hard work will have been wasted!.

Wear the retainer!!!! ;)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your teeth probably shifted a little bit those few days you didn't wear it!. I didn't wear mine for 24 hours once, and believe it or not, my two front bottom teeth shifted inwards slightly!. If you ever notice a change, just force it on your teeth, and after a while your teeth will probably move back in place!. But yeah, I hate the thing!. Although, you gotta wear it!. Even if it's just at night!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

YES you really should be wearing your retainer! otherwise your teeth will return to normal!. and all that braces treatment would have been a waste!.
i wear my reatiners all the time except when i eat!. even if i leave them off for 1 hour, they ach a bit when i out them back on!. just goes to show how much they move
