I take braces off of kids teeth all of the time!. I untie the braces and remove the wires and then I have a special instument that I use to squeeze the brackets!. The brackets just pop off under the pressure!. It isn't painful but it sounds terrible!. I promise your teeth will be okay!. If you have molar bands there is a special instrument to get them off easily as well!. After that we have use a dental handpiece to remove the bonding that is stuck on the teeth and that is pretty much it!. You get a couple of impressions for retainers!. We use a bonded retainer behind the bottom teeth, basically a little wire gets bonded to the backs of the bottom front teeth, again, no pain!.
The impression of the top gets sent to a dental lab to make an upper one!. Some dentists will have the retainer made before your braces come off!. That is basically it!. Hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well from what i can remember (i hate the dentist and try to block it out) it was annoying but pain free just seemed like it took forever for them to get everything out of there!. the way they did mine was they took the wire out !.!. and then used what looked like pliers and proceeded to pop all the brackets off my teeth !.!.!. it was loud but doesn't hurt at all !.!.!. i do remember my teeth felt very smooth and slimy for about a week !.!.!. no braces takes some getting used to!. ALWAYS WEAR YOUR RETAINER!.!.!. you'll regret it if you don't TRUST ME!Www@Answer-Health@Com

First, they remove the wire, and proceed to remove the brakets with a tool!. They may remove your back bands on your molars as well!. If there is any plaster on your teeth, they will most likely grind it off!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
