Question: How long does impacted wisdom see take to heal and stop the swelling completely!?
I had my wisdom teeth out two days ago (one was impacted)!. the dentist said that swelling would happen within the 2nd-4th day!. the directions say that i am past the point of icing and not ready yet for warm packs!. i have to work tomorrow and i look funny!. when might the swelling start to make me look more normal again!? or what may help with the swelling if ice packs or warm packs wont help!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can take Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Aleve (naproxin) for swelling!. This also helps with any discomfort you might be feeling!.
As far as when the swelling will go down, that depends on how "severe" your surgery was!. I had my wisdom teeth removed when I was 17 and I was swelled up for more than a week, but all 4 of mine were impacted and were sideways in my mouth, so mine was an extreme case!. Since only one of yours was impacted, your swelling should be minimal, and you should be good to go within a few days!. If the swelling persists though, or you find yourself in MORE pain instead of less as you heal, then get back to your dentist!. I hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
